What is Bigeye?

Bigeye is the enterprise-grade data observability platform that helps data teams ensure their organizations can trust the data they use for analytics, reporting, and machine learning. It combines data lineage, anomaly detection, data quality rules, data reconciliation, incident management, and other tools into a single platform that creates complete visibility into data pipeline performance and quality.

Traditional data quality tools are rooted in rules that must be hand written and manually updated when data changes. Rows are checked against the rules and either pass or fail. Rules must be preemptively thought up by humans which is expensive and error prone.

Data observability uses dynamic metadata including continuous data profiling, data lineage, and other monitoring techniques to track various elements of data behavior automatically across all pipelines in order to detect both previously known, and never before seen types of problems in the data.
